Seite 3 des Albums beginnt mit dem sehr ruhigen "Break Apart To Mend", einer Ballade, getragen von einem Klavierintro, das unter den Verzerr- und Störgeräuschen nahezu untergeht/5(59).

   Bramhall channels all this experience into Rich Man, his first album in 17 years and also his best. The key to the success of Rich Man is how he loads up the album with thick, funky rhythms, pushing soul over blues over the course of its 13 tracks.    So sehr, dass ich sofort den Vorgänger aus , „Rich Man“, bestellt habe. Das war sein erstes Solo-Album seit 15 Jahren. Die lange Pause war entstanden, da Doyle Bramhall II. intensiv damit beschäftigt war, andere Superstars wie Roger Waters, Sheryl Crow und insbesondere Eric Clapton im Studio und bei Live-Auftritten zu unterstützen/5().

   Let me state that this title is true, Doyle Bramhall II is a FANTASTIC vocalist, a slow diliberate vibrato in his voice. He knows how to use his voice to accent and give meaning to points in his works, (especially with the Arc Angels and more recently with the Derek Trucks Band) and he is a talented producer as well (Sheryl Crow's from Memphis) He is a great guitarist as well and anyone /5(20).
