Standing alone in solitude Holding your head in your hands Tears play like rain on your fingertips Who but yourself is to blame? How could I offer sympathy? When all I feel is pure rejection I was the first one to really know your name You were the first one for me But.

Alpha spawned two singles. The lead-off single, "Don't Cry", reached number 10 on the Billboard Hot and climbed to the top of the Mainstream Rock chart. It was the sole Top 40 entry for Asia in the United Kingdom, peaking at number The B-side of the single, "Daylight", was featured as a bonus track on album original cassette editions.

The prog boys of Asia are having fun and rocking out again on this follow-up to their self-titled disc of big choruses, big sounds and big sales numbers. Alpha is a very similar record, maybe too much so, but it's good enough to keep every song on or above the three star level. Three tracks stand out, A4 .

  8. Sep 29,  · "The Last To Know" used to be my least-favorite song on Alpha but I enjoy it more these days. It's just that the lyrics are extremely sappy for guys in their 30's, and aside from when I remember myself at 13 in junior high, I can't relate. Nice classical interlude, though -- especially Palmer's drumming/5().
