Their fifth album, 's Calm Before the Storm, moved away from Satanic themes in favour of "sword and sorcery" material. This was a new direction for Venom, although it didn't last long with only a short Japanese and Brazilian tour in , so the band decided to split, and Lant, Clare and Hickey all left to form Lant's solo band Cronos.

Calm Before the Storm is the fifth album by ganpnogsetzdistzonovorbnentonanduhor.coinfo original title of the album would have been Deadline, but the title was changed when guitarist Jeffrey "Mantas" Dunn left the band and was replaced by Jimi Clare and Mike Hickey. This is definitely one of Venom's weakest albums. Not THE weakest, because that would be s "The Waste Lands". That one sucked. "Calm Before the Storm" originally started with "Deadline" as the original title, when Mantas was still in the band, but then left.

This is really Venom's 5th album, Calm Before the Storm from '87, repackaged with a new title and cover. Seems stupid to me. I guess they're trying to fool people into thinking its a new Venom album. Hahaha, yeah, like anyone wants a NEW Venom album /5(7).
